The Sitter Music Room
pictured here are Larry & Joyce Hamilton
Larry founded the Cottonwood Mansion Preservation
Foundation in 1989.
This room is a memorial to the Sitter family, thanks to a $10,000
donation by Craig R. Sitter, C.A. of Hagersville, Ontario. It was nicknamed
"The Music Room" right away because of the harp carved into the arch over
the bay window. The drapes are the originals from 1903 returned by Helen
Smiley Smith.
The room features a centre table, which is an inlaid Victorian
"games table" donated by Toni Van Milligen, an 1872 pump organ and one
of Cottonwood's two fireplaces.
