Genealogy at Cottonwood Mansion

Cottonwood Mansion is home to a genealogy resource centre.

The main genealogy resource at Cottonwood is the Florence Neff Young genealogy collection. A life long-genealogist, Florence's original notes encompassed some 30+ binders.

A grant from Canada' Heritage Ministry in 1997 made possible the computerization of the entire Florence Neff Young collection.

There are in excess of 32,000 individuals in the genealogy database, all descendants of pioneer families of the Niagara region.

As a service to our members, we offer a free search of the Florence Neff Young genealogy database. Charges will apply only for the actual costs of printing and postage (if any) to get the information to you.

The general public may also request searches of the collection for a nominal fee.

New!  Copies of the Florence Neff Young genealogy database are now available from Cottonwood Mansion. We will ship you two 3.5 inch diskettes containing the Family Tree Maker backup (compressed) file.

This genealogy database of over 32,000 pioneer settlers and their families is available to members of the Cottonwood Mansion Preservation Society. A small shipping and handling fee applies.

Note: You will require a copy of Family Tree Maker for Windows version 3.02 or higher to read this file.

Order diskettes of the Florence Neff Young genealogy collection.
